Featured Resident of the Month Peggy Prophet from Traditions at North Willow

This month’s Featured Resident is Peggy Prophet from Traditions at North Willow! Peggy has lived at North Willow for a year and loves it here! From the moment she first visited Traditions at North Willow, she knew it would be her home. “I felt that I found a great place because the people are so kind and helpful,” Peggy said. “I love the villa area. It is a great place to live.”
Peggy was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, but soon moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, for her father’s job, where she lived until she was 15 years old. Peggy had a great childhood in Canada, where her father worked as a hockey player, sports medicine therapist, and spoke to schools about sports injuries. Her mother was a homemaker and a fantastic cook.
Peggy attended North Central High School and Butler University. Upon graduation, she worked as an executive sports secretary for the assistant commissioner of High School Sports in Indiana for 35 years. She retired at the age of 55 to care for her mother.
Peggy is very active in the community and has many friends. “She is so kind. She is always willing to help welcome new residents, Libby Mellinger, the Executive Director at North Willow, said. “She attends so many activities and is always so sweet to everyone.” Peggy loves painting, crafts, cooking, gardening, shopping, and of course, watching sports. Her favorite hobby, though, is walking her seven-year-old Jack Russell, named Daisy. “Daisy loves visiting her friends in the community and sometimes stays for activities,” Peggy said.
Peggy loves her neighbors, her community, and the staff at North Willow. “The employees are great and pleasant when speaking with you,” she said. “I just love everyone here.”
